On 16th January 2016 Annie Leibovitz is to begin a 10-city 12 month international tour of her new series ‘WOMEN: New Portrait’, an update of her ‘Women’ series of photographs, which were originally created in collaboration with Susan Sontag 15 years ago. The exhibitions, which begin in London at the Wapping Hydraulic Power Station, are free to the public and will be held in various currently undisclosed locations, but not the usual galleries or museums. The series is commissioned by the financial services company UBS and is the largest touring show the company have ever staged, taking in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Mexico City, Istanbul, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Zurich and Hong Kong. The body of work will include photographs from the original series as well as new ones including portraits of Serena Williams, Gloria Steinem and Amy Schumer, and others which Leibovitz is still working on. The exhibition is expected to reflect “the changes in the roles of women today”.

Tickets for the London show will be available from December with the show closing on 7th February before moving on to Tokyo.
